FFE Transportation Services Inc. on Monday, Jan. 17, announced the opening of a new service center in Ontario, Calif., in an effort to expand service, meet rising demand and greatly increase capacity in the western United States temperature-controlled less-than-truckload market.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us to better meet the needs of our customers,” says John Hickerson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Frozen Food Express. “This regionalized operation will offer existing customers the consistent high-quality and specialized service they have come to expect, and provide new customers with superior service and greatly increased capacity.”
FFE has relocated to a 92,102-square-foot warehousing and distribution center that will provide substantial freezer and cooler space. The company says the new location also will result in improved service capabilities for customers in southern California.
“This represents our continued commitment to invest in our company, our infrastructure and our commitment to our customers to provide the highest-quality and most reliable service product in the competitive marketplace,” says Russell Stubbs, president of FFE. “It is one of several ongoing initiatives to build for the future.”
