The New York/New Jersey Port Authority Board of Commissioners last week authorized a supplement to the port’s Truck Replacement Program to provide incentives for the replacement of about 126 drayage trucks equipped with model year 1994 through 2003 engines serving the port’s marine terminal facilities with drayage trucks equipped with model year 2007 or newer engines.

Also at the port authority board’s regular meeting on Thursday, Feb. 24, the board authorized a $3.5 million project for intermodal improvements at the PATH Harrison Station; and authorized a $54.8 million project to replace heating, ventilation and air conditioning units and upgrade associated electrical power distribution system in the South Wing of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
