Honeywell, a manufacturer of automotive turbochargers, has initiated an aftermarket certification program to identify its authorized distributors and further ensure independent service centers and their retail customers receive only genuine turbochargers and components from its Garrett brand portfolio.

Honeywell Turbo Technologies is launching the Garrett Authorized Center network to certify those distributors and dealers who have the knowledge to sell and service the full Garrett portfolio of more than 3,000 part numbers covering all sizes of diesel and gas engines in both passenger and commercial vehicles.

“Honeywell and Garrett have spent decades developing the intellectual property that has made us the leader in the turbo industry,” says Ed Goodwin, global aftermarket director at Honeywell Turbo Technologies. “Service centers, garages, fleet managers – they all want to know where to go to get the real deal. They know the real value of genuine parts versus the inherent risks of noncertified components.”

Under the new program, HTT has created a new logo to easily identify the Authorized Garrett Centers and will list those participating in the program on the www.garrettbyhoneywell.com website in the distributor locator.
