Telogis has enhanced its Telogis Route multi-vehicle route planning, optimization and scheduling system with new advanced business analysis tools.

Telogis says these new tools expedite the integration of customer requirements into the software, and build intelligent routes that take into consideration such variables as driver schedules, customer delivery windows and customer preferences. Additionally, this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) system bundles routing and dispatching functionality from Telogis Fleet and Telogis GeoBase into a single application for strategic and dynamic planning.

“Routing solutions are notoriously difficult to understand. We’re changing this with a single, integrated platform and a proven SaaS solution. A key to this is getting good information into the system and really understanding the outputs. Our new data tools provide user-friendly and powerful tools to do this,” says Newth Morris, president, Telogis Route.

Telogis Route now checks all integrated systems for inconsistencies in data that could create routing problems, such as deliveries being requested outside of a time any drivers are scheduled to work. This integration makes Telogis says this feature makes the software easier to use and provides data analysis functions not found in other routing software solutions.

The new, enhanced version of Telogis Route also features exporting functions for use in business intelligence tools and software programs to analyze routes. This allows companies to compare the quantitative metrics of various route scenarios and make intelligent business decisions based on the data, the company says.
