Old Dominion opens Tennessee container drayage facility

Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. has opened a new container drayage site in Memphis, Tenn., that will serve all rail heads in the Memphis area and will offer pickup and delivery to any point in the continental United States. The company says the opening of this complex supports customer requests and expands service offerings in the central United States.

Old Dominion container drayage services include direct point-to-point delivery, loading, unloading, short-term warehousing and container pools. The Thomasville, N.C.-based company offers direct services from 10 cities in addition to Memphis, including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Norfolk, Va., Wilmington, N.C., Charlotte, N.C., Charleston, S.C., Savannah, Ga., Huntsville, Ala., and Jacksonville, Fla. Old Dominion expects to open additional locations in the future.
