The U.S. Department of Transporation’s Enforcement Division has scheduled a public meeting on May 31 for the limited purpose of discussing the implementation and testing of technologies on the information-reporting requirements of electronic onboard recorders.

The agenda will be limited to the technical capabilities of one-way transfer through wired and wireless methods and the specifications of the file format. The meeting is free of charge and open to all interested parties, but will not be a forum for discussion of broader nontechnical EOBR issues.

The meeting will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. at the U.S. DOT Conference Center, Room 4, 1200 New Jersey Ave. S.E., Washington, DC 20590.
