Third-party logistics provider Kane Is Able Inc. has named 30-year logistics industry veteran Pete Westermann its president and chief operations officer, where he will oversee execution of Kane’s strategic business initiatives. Westermann previously served 3PL provider Total Logistic Control, where as president and chief executive officer he led a client-focused business that developed supply chain solutions for the CPG marketplace.
“Pete is a proven leader in supply chain management whose background dovetails perfectly with Kane’s strategic focus on CPG logistics,” says Dick Kane, chief executive officer of the Scranton, Pa.-based company. “He knows the business from the ground up, having served at all levels of logistics management during his career. His focus will be to maximize customer satisfaction and manage the continued expansion of Kane’s integrated warehousing, contract packaging and freight management services, particularly in the consumer packaged goods vertical.”
Westermann has held senior leadership roles with 3PL providers during most of his career, serving as president and CEO at Universal Solutions, a 3PL provider in reverse logistics; senior vice president of sales and solutions with UPS Supply Chain Solutions, and president /CEO of Livingston Healthcare, a 3PL provider specializing in the healthcare sector.
