Supreme Industries Inc., a manufacturer of specialized commercial vehicles, including truck bodies, shuttle buses, armored vehicles and homeland response vehicles, has appointed Matthew Long to the position of chief financial officer, treasurer and assistant secretary, where he will assume the duties of the company’s principal financial and accounting officer.

Previously, Long, 49, served for eight years as treasurer of CTS Corp., a designer and manufacturer of sensors and actuators, electronic components and a provider of electronics manufacturing services. At CTS, his responsibilities included directing finance activities and tax compliance and planning for 18 manufacturing locations worldwide. He managed the capital structure of the company and led efforts to access credit through debt facilities in North America, Europe and Asia. Previously, he served as assistant treasurer for CTS until May 2003, when he was promoted to the role of treasurer.

“Matt adds significant depth to our leadership team,” says Kim Korth, Supreme president and chief executive officer. “His extensive experience in a public company setting, combined with a strong background in financial planning and cost management, will allow Matt to play a key role in helping return Supreme to consistent profitability.”
