Swift Transportation Co. has been recognized by Dollar General as its Dedicated Carrier of the Year for the overall service to the retailer’s distribution centers and stores. Additionally, Jonesville, S.C., was selected as Dollar General’s Site of the Year, which represents a dual recognition for both the Dollar General distribution center staff and the supporting carriers, including Swift.
These two awards mark the 9th and 10th carrier awards that Swift Transportation has received in 2011. “The entire Swift Dollar General Team has done an outstanding job,” says Deryl Smoak, vice president of dedicated services for Phoenix-based Swift. “Swift’s commitment to dedicated customers goes well beyond the industry standard. Our focus is to continue to build and foster lasting relationships based on trust and results.”
