Phillips Industries announced it has strengthened their field sales force with the additions of Randy Long, Mathew Sayre and Nick Tosie as new territory sales managers and the promotion of John Nugent to Western regional sales manager. All will report to Randy Walker, national sales manager/aftermarket.

Nugent joined Phillips Industries from Genuine Auto Parts in 2006. Prior to his promotion, he was a top producing territory sales manager covering the Southern United States. In his new role, Nugent will be responsible for building Phillips aftermarket sales in the Western states with strong customer focused programs addressing the needs of Phillips distributors and the fleets they serve.

Long joins Phillips Industries as territory sales manager covering Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Long brings years of experience in trucking and the commercial electrical. He has held management and sales positions with WLS Lighting, Intra-Tech/Midtronics and Hendrickson.

Sayre joins Phillips Industries after more than 20 years with Madison Truck Sales, where he most recently held the position of parts manager and purchaser. He is a native of Wisconsin and as territory sales manager will cover South Dakota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois for Phillips.

Tosie joins Phillips as territory sales manager covering Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. His work experience in the truck industry includes parts and service management positions at Detroit Diesel, Freightliner, Kenworth and Volvo dealers, most recently as aftermarket account manager for Stewart and Stevenson in Dallas.

“All four of these gentlemen bring outstanding experience and work ethic to their new positions with Phillips,” Walker says. “We know they will strengthen our relationships with our dealers and their customers. It’s important for us to maintain strong communication links with our distributor and the end users of our products so that we can develop products and services that help them meet their goals. John Randy, Mathew and Nick will certainly help us do that.”
