Jacobs Vehicle Systems certified to ISO 14001 standard

The Jacobs Vehicle Systems Environmental Management System recently was formally certified to the ISO 14001 standard. JVS, based in Bloomfield, Conn., says on April 21 it successfully passed a rigorous five-day audit of its environmental programs and processes to demonstrate full conformance with the standard and was certified by Dekra Certification Inc.

JVS says environmental protection and sustainability are major considerations the company and that it accepts the responsibility to ensure that its products, production processe, and facilities are developed and managed in line with ecologically sound principles. JVS says it voluntarily undertook steps to develop and implement the program to provide assurance to its customers and its community that it was committed to the environment.

JVS says that by implementing this environmental management system, it is committed to ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legal and other requirements; preventing pollution through reduction and elimination; and continuously improving its environmental performance.
