Wabco Holding announced that it has added three functions to its TrailerGuard system designed to allow fleet managers to remotely identify trailers that require service through the portalās display of warning lamps indicating any errors in the trailerās electronic breaking system.
EBS error warnings are designed to allow rapid intervention, either remote or onsite, to facilitate compliance with road regulations. Operators also can monitor an individualās driving behavior to confirm compliance with the fleetās safety policy through the portalās display of near-rollover alerts and by downloading EBS operating data.
TrailerGuardās new functions include EBS Advanced, designed to track EBS warning lamps in the vehicleās cabin; Roll Stability Support (RSS), which shows when and how many times RSS has been required to stabilize the vehicle against rollover; and Operating Data Recorder, which allows analysis of the driverās performance as well as the trailerās utilization.
TrailerGuard also alerts fleet operators to any critical situations, enabling appropriate and timely action such as sending an alarm via text message (SMS) to the driver. TrailerGuard is available for all types of trailers in Europe and can be customized for specific needs. All data can be implemented into the customerās information technology system to further improve trailer management efficiency.
