Meritor Inc. and Pressure Systems International announced that Talbert Manufacturing Inc., a producer of heavy-haul trailers and specialized transportation equipment, has chosen the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI as its preferred automatic tire inflation system.
MTIS by PSI is engineered to be installed on any type of trailer, including van, liquid tank, logger, flatbed, chassis, livestock, platform, drop frame, dump, deep drop, doubles, dry bulk, reefer auto transporter and military. The system is designed to add life to tires, increase fuel efficiency and safety, maximize recap potential and keep trailers on the road.
It is an automatic system with constant air pressure available when needed; the rotary union is the only moving part in the entire system, which helps reduce maintenance. The patented ThermAlert option is designed to warn drivers of excessive wheel end heat, which helps avoid trailer fires or wheel end damage.
