Monroeville, Ala.-based Hornady Transportation has been named as recipient of the Great West Casualty Co.’s Silver Award as part of the 2010 National Safety Awards program. Hornady’s Christie Baker, risk management, and Debra Allred, subrogation and claims manager, were presented with the award by Great West Casualty representative Carl Ritter.
The National Safety Awards program recognizes carriers in similar operations (truckload and less-than-truckload) with awards based on their yearend preventable accident results. This past year, the program drew more than 800 participants from across the country.
