East Manufacturing Corp. recently promoted Bill McKenzie to director of dealer development and flatbed product manager, and David Kinsley to vice president of materials.
In addition to McKenzie’s current job function as flatbed product manager, he also will be responsible for assisting East’s North American dealer network to improve their performance and to qualify and sign new dealers. “Bill’s trailer business knowledge and excellent customer orientation have helped East achieve market share growth in the flatbed business,” says David Tate, president of the Randolph, Ohio-based company. “Our dealer network will profit from these abilities, and that’s why we are enthusiastic about the expansion of Bill’s responsibilities.”
McKenzie, who has extensive experience in the aluminum trailer business, joined East in 2007 as product manager for platform products. Prior to that, he held sales and dealer development positions with another aluminum trailer manufacturer for more than 10 years.
Kinsley will be responsible for all aspects of the materials department, including acquisition, inventory, planning, purchasing, expediting, shipping and receiving. He joined East as a procurement analyst in June 2006 and was promoted to director of materials in April 2008. He has held similar executive management positions for a variety of companies, including 20 years with a national toy retailer, ultimately serving as vice president of divisional merchandise management.
