Tom Marx, president and chief executive officer of The Marx Group, and Gary McCoy, public relations director, will give insight and tips on how to incorporate a “green” marketing strategy during their “Put Your Green Foot Forward: Building Blocks That Will Promote Your Green Message” seminar at the Big R Show. The meeting will be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m.

“The nature of the remanufacturing industry is one that is capable of taking full advantage of green marketing campaigns,” Marx says. “At a time when the public and customers are more mindful than ever of the environment, sending out the right green message about your company is crucial. When done effectively, green marketing campaigns are easy to incorporate and financially beneficial as well.”

With so many green products and eco-friendly promises circulating, it is important for a company to review its marketing and business practices to make sure it is taking full advantage of its green marketing opportunities, Marx says. Remanufacturing is a green angle that can offer a huge selling point when telling a company’s story to consumers and communicating with the public, he says, and a look at business practices may uncover other environmental strengths such as the use of recycled parts or renewable resources. In this seminar, Marx says the seminar will help companies realistically examine their green marketing and business activities and provide the green building blocks to support marketing efforts.

“Emphasizing the environmental benefits and green actions of your company are important to assess when designing any marketing campaign,” Marx says. “More recently, the environmental aspects of a company are being followed and critiqued more closely by the public and customers alike. The simple ways to incorporate these green marketing techniques will not only demonstrate your social responsibility, but also prove to be cost effective, as well.”
