Kerry Logistics is continuing its expansion in Vietnam, opening a new logistics center in Hanoi, Vietnam. The 10,000-square-meter facility will focus on providing a broad range of logistics services for the electronics and hi-tech, fashion and garments, food and beverage, and industrial sectors.

The Kerry (Hung Yen) Logistics Center will begin operations in November and is located between Hanoi and the port city of Haiphong, providing direct ocean access to international markets. “We have invested in developing a national logistics network in Vietnam during the last few years, and the new Hanoi facility completes our coverage of the key industrial areas in North, South and Central Vietnam,” says Robert Tan, managing director, South Asia.

The facility has direct highway access to Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport and is close to Hai Duong Inland Container Depot. “Demand is growing from our customers in Vietnam and around the region for a broad range of logistics services, and this new facility demonstrates our commitment to meeting that demand,” says Rosa Du, general manager, Vietnam.

Kerry Logistics already has completed another piece in its Vietnam network, opening the Danang facility in Central Vietnam in 2010. Construction of the second phase of this facility will be completed during the last quarter of 2011 and will provide 10,200 square meters of space for warehousing and logistics services. Kerry Logistics also operates a 62,500-square-meter facility in Ho Chi Minh City.
