ABF announced that it has opened offices in Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Philippines, India and Sri Lanka. These locations are in addition to current ABF offices in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, providing seamless single-contact supply chain solutions for customers importing from Asian manufacturing centers, the company says.

“ABF’s expanding portfolio of logistics services now extends from the Asian manufacturer’s floor to domestic door delivery,” says Roy Slagle, ABF senior vice president of sales and marketing. “In between, customers benefit from a single point of contact and total end-to-end supply chain visibility.”

Slagle describes Fort Smith, Ark.-based ABF as “a synchronized local, regional and transcontinental motor carrier, a nonvessel-operating common carrier, a global logistics service provider and an intermodal carrier. ABF is also a source for Web-based, real-time tracking and improved inventory turns. We facilitate reduced cycle times and reduced inventory stock-outs, as well as complete P.O. and vendor management. And we help to ensure compliance to purchase order shipping instructions, simplified vendor management and direct distribution from the import container to the end-user’s home, including the ultimate proof-of-delivery and EDI data transmission with customer system capabilities.”
