Alliance AutoGas announced a new partner, Shaffer’s Bottled Gas, joining fellow Pennsylvania propane retailer Koppy’s Propane Inc. to power statewide fleets on clean-burning cost-effective propane autogas. Alliance AutoGas says its expanding fueling network in Pennsylvania will allow more regional fleets to save money and drive clean on American-made fuel.

“We are delighted to partner with Alliance AutoGas to help achieve our goal of supplying customers with an economical alternative to gasoline, while also diminishing demand for imported oil,” says Jeff Shaffer, president of Shaffer’s Bottled Gas. “In these tough economic times, autogas is not only a smart fuel choice for saving money, but because it’s 90 percent domestically produced, using autogas also creates American jobs.”

Alliance AutoGas Autogas costs $1 per gallon less than gasoline and produces less greenhouse gas emissions, and the company also will install onsite autogas fueling stations for fleets at no upfront cost. “Expanding the U.S. propane autogas market is critical to our nation’s clean energy future,” says Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas and founder of Autogas for America. “Companies like new Alliance partner Shaffer’s are doing their part to help make autogas a viable alternative fuel choice for more American fleets.”
