ACTIA Corp. is showcasing its transit market product line at the public transportation exhibition to be held Oct. 3-5 in New Orleans. The vehicle electronics manufacturer’s multiplexed control systems and intelligent onboard instrumentation products are deployed in a variety of industries, including transit and school bus, military, construction, agriculture, mining, marine, rail and other specialty applications.
ACTIA says that by harnessing its experience in other markets, the company has launched a line of onboard electronic systems for the transit market. The multiplexed power management and instrumentation systems originally were designed for military applications and are robust enough to withstand the harshest of environments.
Each controller includes a dual-core microprocessor, enabling it to manage electrical loads dynamically and intelligently, while also offering sophisticated features such as system-based diagnostics and prognostics. These advanced controllers, gauges and displays are the backbone of a vehicle electrical and electronics architecture designed to reduce production and maintenance costs, extend vehicle durability and improve serviceability.
ACTIA has teamed up with Motor Coach Industries to showcase the new systems, currently in production on D-Coach models, including features like wireless vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting. ACTIA’s line of multimedia products such as the latest LED monitors, audio/video entertainment and high-definition video surveillance systems also will be on display at booth No. 1372. In addition, ACTIA is showcasing its telematics and fuel economy solutions, which include hardware and Web services designed to protect, monitor and improve a fleet’s field performance.
