Honeywell releases Remote MasterMind for Mobility 2.5 software

Honeywell announced that customers using Honeywell mobile devices equipped with Honeywell’s Remote MasterMind for Mobility 2.5 software now can track key operational metrics, including battery life, barcode scans and keypad/touchscreen interactions. Honeywell says the software’s enhancements are in addition to its ability to manage, update and remotely diagnose Microsoft Windows operating system-based mobile devices within a network from one centralized location.

Building on the functionality of Remote MasterMind for Mobility introduced in May, the latest release is designed to provide users with remote access to software distribution, data configuration and asset tracking, as well as device performance measurement for enhanced troubleshooting capabilities. Honeywell says the customized measurement tool helps maximize mobile work force productivity by allowing IT professionals to remotely determine the root cause of device performance issues, such as reoccurring scan errors or low battery power, and identify a solution.

“Ensuring that our customers reap the benefits of customized performance measurement, the new platform simplifies the tracking and evaluation of critical device operations in real time, driving improved efficiency across the work force,” says John Waldron, vice president of worldwide marketing for Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “The latest update of our Remote MasterMind for Mobility solution marks the first of many planned remote management enhancements for our enterprise customers.”

In addition to the release of Remote MasterMind for Mobility 2.5, Remote MasterMind for Scanningnow offers expanded device support. “Providing a greater level of insight into device usage, Remote MasterMind for Mobility is the key driver to successful mobile work force management,” says Ken Gulaian, vice president of services and software for Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. “The new data tracking capabilities deliver on Honeywell’s commitment to identifying the most productive ways to manage and experience Honeywell mobile products.”
