CalArk Trucking hosted a “Treat For Paws” Employee Costume Contest Oct. 31 to benefit four local animal shelters in central Arkansas More than 20,000 pounds of dry cat food and dog food was donated by 150 CalArk employees, who also contributed animal blankets, pet toys and canned food, as well as gift cards and monetary gifts to be used for purchasing feed for rescued farm animals.
“We’re very proud of our employees’ 100 percent participation and the tremendous success of our pet food drive,” says Angela Defoe, CalArk’s event coordinator. “It’s so rewarding to know that more animals can be cared for now because of this.”
