Peterson Manufacturing Co. announced that it has earned Caterpillar Inc.’s 2010 Supplier Quality Excellence Process Award after meeting and exceeding eight stringent business performance metrics established by Caterpillar. Certification for this award was completed in November 2010, with Caterpillar officials personally delivering the honor to their local headquarters recently.
“It’s great that our dedicated team has been recognized,” says Steve Meagher, Peterson vice president of sales. “We value our 25-year relationship with Caterpillar.”
Specifically, Caterpillar’s Supplier Quality Excellence Process Award recognizes accomplishment in what the company calls MQ-11005 certification, which closely analyzes and evaluates internal quality controls, processes, shipping performance, capacity planning and more.
Peterson Manufacturing supplies Caterpillar with a variety of industrial lighting needs. Peterson lights can be found around the world on Cat vehicles, mining equipment, grading equipment and more. “We appreciate the quality performance and excellence in Peterson,” says Tom Springer, lighting components engineer with Caterpillar. “They are an exceptional company.”
