Truck Enterprises Inc. recently was awarded OSHA’s Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) Recertification by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Labor and Industry. TEI says that achieving SHARP Recertification establishes the company as one of fewer than 50 businesses in Virginia deemed as a worksite dedicated to occupational safety and health. Truck Enterprises received its initial SHARP Certification in December 2006.
Commissioner Courtney M. Malveaux presented Woody Sanders, TEI human resource manager, with the certification and congratulated the company on being a proven leader in safety and health in Virginia. “Every morning our employees come to work with safety in mind, and working together, we have created a culture that values a safe and healthy work environment,” Sanders says. “That makes us very proud of this accomplishment.”
