Celadon Trucking Services announced that it was awarded by Walmart Stores Inc. its General Merchandise Platinum Carrier of the Year award. “We are proud to recognize service partners that demonstrate excellence in operations and customer service,” says Ken Braunbach, senior director – transportation with Walmart. “Celadon continues to provide surge capacity and consistent performance to several business units in the Walmart supply chain. We are grateful for everything they do to support our corporate mission of saving people money so they can live better.”
A Celadon executive team, including President and Chief Operating Officer Paul Will, was presented the award at Walmart’s recent carrier conference in Rogers, Ark. “It is truly a tremendous honor to be recognized by Walmart as its Platinum Carrier of the Year,” says Will. “Having won the Rising Star award in 2006 and the Diamond Carrier of the Year award in 2009, our team realized that expectations from Walmart, as well as those within our own organization, were very high this year. This award demonstrates that our team accepted the challenge of continuing to service the Walmart business at the highest level possible.”
