Greenkraft Inc., , a manufacturer of alternative fuel systems for use in transportation applications, announced that the California Air Resources Board has certified its 2012 dedicated compressed natural gas fuel systems on General Motors’ 14,000-lb.GVWR and above 6.0 8 cylinder engine. The GM engine can be installed as a repower to run on CNG.

“The CARB certification is especially important because several states have either adopted or are in the process of adopting California’s emissions standards,” says Frank Ziegler, director of sales. Greenkraft also manufactures a full line of cab-forward trucks that will be introduced to the U.S. market that are dedicated CNG and range from 14,000- to 33,000-lb. GVWR.
