Blue Tree Systems, provider of the R:Com Fleet Management Solution, and McLeod Software, a software provider for the transportation industry, announced the integration of Blue Tree System’s R:Com Trailer Tracking and Temperature Management System with McLeod’s LoadMaster Enterprise trucking dispatch operations management system. The companies say the interface will provide carriers with real-time visibility to trailer positions, temperatures and other cargo sensors while in transit.

“The integration of R:Com with LoadMaster means that our customers can not only provide better customer service and overall improved load management, but they are now provided with the information necessary to make swift and early decisions in order to prevent load spoilage and cargo claims,” says Charlie Cahill, chief executive officer of Blue Tree Systems.

According to the companies, carriers using R:Com and LoadMaster will have visibility to trailer positions, will receive trailer status updates and can set temperature limits for any given load so that abnormal conditions or temperature alarms are detected and brought to the attention of the right people immediately.

Alarm reports for sensors such as refrigerated unit power/battery also can be delivered via the LoadMaster Rapid Alert module. In addition, load temperature history is maintained in the LoadMaster system for each load, giving carriers the necessary proof that specified temperatures were maintained throughout the entire dispatch process.

“We believe our customers will recognize the value that our integration solution with R:Com can bring to their business, especially for our temperature controlled carriers,” says Tom McLeod, CEO and founder of McLeod Software.
