Pegasus TransTech – a provider of truckstop scanning, in-cab scanning, smartphone scanning and other document management services – announced that Con-way Truckload has implemented Transflo Express truckstop scanning and Express Indexing to provide quicker electronic delivery of trucking documents from the road; Express Indexing automates accurate document processing in the office.

Con-way Truckload is a unit of Con-way Inc., the third-largest for-hire carrier in North America. Based in Joplin, Mo., Con-way Truckload operates 2,600 tractors and 8,000 trailers from five terminals. The company also has implemented Transflo Express scan stations at those terminals.

“We are pleased with the speed at which we receive our driver paperwork and the visibility gained to what has and has not been scanned,” says Mark T. Timpe, director, billing and credit for Con-way Truckload.

Con-way drivers now use Transflo Express to scan PODs and other documents at more than 800 truckstop locations. Pegasus TransTech’s Express Indexing – which recognizes optical marks, characters, and forms – automatically indexes those incoming documents and validates load information with Con-way’s management software.

“Transflo Express delivers unparalleled advantages to both fleets and their drivers,” says Bob Helms, Pegasus TransTech chairman and chief executive officer. “We’re excited about the opportunity to serve Con-way’s document delivery needs, and we believe their choice to adopt Transflo Express and Express Indexing will reduce costs and improve efficiencies for both drivers and shipper customers.”
