Epes Transport System announced a new Northeast premium pay enhancement that allows drivers to earn an additional 7 cents per loaded mile for every load delivering to Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

“We understand the added pressure of driving in some of the challenging and high-stress environments that often present themselves in the Northeast,” says Britt Colley, president of the Greensboro, N.C.-based truckload carrier. “This pay increase serves to augment current compensation and reflect our company’s commitment to remaining one of the industry’s top fleets to drive for.”

Northeast premium pay will be applicable only on loaded dispatch miles to inbound destinations in the designated states. Drivers will receive a separate line on their payroll settlements detailing the addition of the Northeast premium pay on qualifying trips taken during that pay period.
