Quality Distribution Inc. announced that it has named Randall Strutz as president of its wholly-owned subsidiary Quality Carriers Inc., the primary operating unit within the company’s chemical logistics business.

“Randy has done an outstanding job since joining Quality in 2010 as senior vice president of sales by bringing a disciplined focus to customer service,” says Gary Enzor, chief executive officer of the Tampa, Fla.-based company. “By expanding Randy’s scope, we believe our core chemical business will benefit by his leadership and drive to grow our revenues and improve overall operating performance.”

Strutz, who joined Quality in April 2010 as senior vice president of sales, has more than 22 years experience in transportation and logistics. Prior to joining Quality, Strutz was CEO of Morgan Systems Inc. Prior to that, he was at Pacer International for six years, where he held various responsibilities such as the chief commercial officer, as well as the president of rail brokerage and chief operating officer. Strutz also has held key management positions in operations and logistics at Thomson S.A., a multinational consumer products manufacturer.
