The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is requesting nominations from the motor carrier Industry for the board of directors of the Unified Carrier Registration Plan.

The agency will appoint five motor carrier industry members to the board for the UCR Plan, which is responsible for the administration of the UCR Agreement that governs the registration and the collection and distribution of fees paid by for-hire and private motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and leasing companies.

The UCR Plan and Agreement replaced the Single State Registration System, which was repealed Jan. 1, 2008.

Nominations or expressions of interest for appointment to the board may be submitted online or by fax, mail or hand delivery. For more information, go to www.regulations.gov; the docket number is FMCSA-2012-0087.
