In its second expansion in nine months, UPS is enhancing its coverage area for early morning deliveries. For the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. options, UPS says it has increased the number of ZIP codes it serves with its regular express service.

The latest U.S. coverage expansion involves more than 2,600 Early A.M. and Next Day Air ZIP codes. More than 80 percent of all U.S. businesses now can receive guaranteed early morning UPS deliveries.

“Customers tell us every second counts,” says Alan Gershenhorn, UPS’s chief sales and marketing officer. “Take healthcare laboratories, for example. Every package represents a patient, and getting results back faster is critical. Earlier deliveries can be the customer experience difference, and they provide all companies a real competitive advantage. Businesses know they can depend on UPS for fast and reliable service.”

UPS says other types of business benefitting from earlier urgent deliveries include automotive, industrial manufacturing, high-tech and professional service companies with a need for early-morning delivery of equipment, parts and documents.
