Brenntag North America Inc. has named Bret Happel as the division’s DEF business director, where he will lead the company’s DEF business in both the United States and Canada. His responsibilities include oversight of more than 30 DEF rail terminals and 120 locations throughout North America that distribute jugs, drums, totes, mini-bulk and full truckloads of DEF.
With more than 20 years of experience in the chemical distribution industry, Happel most recently served as vice president of sales for Brenntag Mid-South, a division of Brenntag North America. Prior to that, he advanced through a variety of increasingly responsible commercial positions within Brenntag, including branch manager, national accounts executive and district manager.
“Bret’s broad spectrum of experience makes him an ideal choice to lead our rapidly growing DEF business,” says David Garner, vice president of operations. “Bret has exceeded growth objectives in every position he has held at Brenntag. I am confident in his new role that he will experience the same success.”
