HDA Truck Pride announced the addition of Altorfer Cat to its network. Altorfer Cat has three locations servicing the commercial vehicle industry: Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Springfield and East Peoria, Ill. The company services a diverse market from construction and agriculture to trucking and power generation.
Altorfer Cat has been in business for 55 years and expanded into the on-highway trucking segment to provide complete service to its customers, says Don Reimondo, HDA chief executive officer. “Their customer base demands parts and service for off-highway equipment, as well as commercial vehicle and vocational equipment,” Reimondo says. “Their geographic footprint is an ideal match for us. We are pleased to have them as part of the HDA Truck Pride team and look forward to enhancing our presence in their market areas.”
With the acquisitions of Capitol Machinery Co., Peoria Tractor and Equipment and Altorfer Lift Trucks over the years, the parent company, Altorfer Inc., now operates 22 locations in 15 cities with 720 employees. The On Highway division provides parts and service for Cat engines, and its scope also includes replacement parts and service for other on-highway vehicles ranging from semis to fire trucks to RVs.
