The new vehicle is considered the most innovative in Peterbilt’s 73-year history for achieving new benchmarks in quality, reliability, aerodynamic efficiency and operator comfort.

“We’re excited to bring this groundbreaking new vehicle to our valued customers and business partners,” said Kurt Jorgensen, Vice President of Sales for JX Enterprises. “It’s a great opportunity to host an event that will be educational and entertaining, as well as an opportunity to showcase our full range of commercial vehicle solutions.”

Jorgensen said the event will feature a cookout-style luncheon, daylong raffles with an iPad 3 grand prize, ride-alongs and test drives of the Model 579 and an interactive trailer display.

The Model 579 tour trailer will include:
• Cab and sleeper cutaway displays;
• An interactive “Technology Zone” highlighting the headlamps, driver information panel, SmartNav and new multi-function steering wheel controls;
• Graphic depictions of the performance attributes of the Model 579 including videos of reliability testing to 2.2 million miles, aerodynamic efficiency and the strong, lightweight chassis design; and
• PACCAR MX Engine technology displays.

JX Enterprises is also hosting a tour stop at its JX Peterbilt – Indianapolis dealership on Sept. 14.
