Aljex has integrated with MacroPoint for load tracking, mobile communications and proof-of-delivery. MacroPoint offers profit-driving software products that deploy on cell phones and other mobile devices.

Aljex is a provider of hosted operations software for the transportation industry. The company serves brokers, carriers, and 3rd party logistics providers. Integration means MacroPoint communications appear directly on Aljex screens; dispatchers no longer need to visit a separate web site for load updates.

MacroPoint’s product offerings begin with MacroPoint Track, which can be used on low-cost, Java-enabled phones for location updates and quick communication. The next step up is MacroPoint Fleet Track for camera-equipped smartphones for signature capture, proof-of-delivery, and more. MacroPoint Track can provide regular location updates without driver input.

Mobile Apps says its software enables brokers and carriers to track loads as well as receive real time notifications, delivery signatures, and transportation documents.

Raymond Sciuckas, president & co-owner of Fastmore Logisitcs, an Aljex customer, began using MacroPoint in January.

“With this integration we’ll be using it even more,” he said. “It tracks a third party driver. It updates every hour. And instead of us having to go to the MacroPoint web site to look at the location then update it in Aljex, it does that for us automatically. It saves us steps.”

“The kind of information that MacroPoint brings to the table is very valuable to the brokers and carriers we serve. Integration brings it at least one step closer to the dispatchers and shippers who need it,” said Aljex CEO Tom Heine.
