Great Dane announces transition at president position

great-daneBill Crown, president and CEO of trailer manufacturer Great Dane, announced last week he would be stepping down as the company’s president. He will, however, remain CEO.

The change will be effective Oct. 1, at which point Dean Engelage, the company’s executive vice president of sales and strategic planning, will take Crown’s place as president.

“Leading the Grate Dane organization has been a rewarding experience,” Crown said. “I look forward to working closely with Dean and am confident he will continue to lead the organization to new heights.”

Crown has led the company as president since 2010.

“I am delighted to take up my new role as President of Great Dane,” ngelage said. “I look forward to working with our dedicated employees to further the Company’s market leadership and growth by bringing new levels of innovation, customer experience and value to the marketplace.”
