Consider this a holiday treat, a look at an old family album: Trucking, circa 1960, courtesy of an American Trucking Associations promotional film, sponsored by Chevrolet Trucks.

Of course, there was the old Hollywood version that had a decidedly non-ATA approved storyline. Here’s a trailer for “They Drive by Night,” a Humphrey Bogart – George Raft classic. As the trailer shows, it’s “the high-geared saga of  reckless men … who find romance by the side of the road!”
