Trucking’s move from the cultural doldrums to a major — and lasting — image of the 1970s was a gradual one. By the early ’70s, the first pieces of what would become the defining era of the American Truck driver were starting to fall into place. And no magazine was better positioned to document that ride than CCJ’s sister publication, Overdrive.
