The event is scheduled for Nov. 13-15 in Palm Springs, Calif., at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa, outside Los Angeles.
Jim Donald, former CEO of Starbucks, Haggen Food & Pharmacy and Extended Stay Hotels, will speak on Monday, Nov. 13, about how to grow businesses and improve the overall culture of companies. He will cover how he became the CEO of Starbucks, how he turned Extended Stay Hotels around in service and finances, and how to capture and bottle excitement in a company.

Another session to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, will feature Jeff Davis, principal of Fleet Safety Services, and Jack Van Steenburg, chief safety officer and assistant administrator at FMCSA.
The pair will host a session titled “CSA 2.0: Back to the Drawing Board,” which will dive into what FMCSA has to do to address the Congressionally mandated review of the Compliance, Safety, Accountability program by the National Academies of Science.

Finally, retired Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honoré, who was the commander of Joint Task Force Katrina and the Global Preparedness Authority, will close the three-day event. He will speak about crisis management and what fleets need to do to be prepared for any unforeseen challenges in the future. Known as the “Category 5 General,” Honoré coordinated military relief efforts in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans.

Registration is available for $495 for all sessions, meals and a golf or Jeep tour activity, but does not include lodging. Discounted rooms are available during the registration process for $185 per night, not including taxes and fees, until Oct. 11.
