CIE Manufacturing showcased its new Revere intermodal trailer chassis this week at ATA’s Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Atlanta.

CIE Executive Vice President Trevor Ash says Revere is the intermodal industry’s first chassis with a 10-year warranty on non-wear parts featuring components from PPG, Bendix, TSE Brakes, JOST, Phillips Connect Technologies, Hutchens, AXN Heavy Duty, Accuride and PSI.

The chassis’ tare weight of 10,600 lb., is among the lightest in the industry and its Ash says CIE will soon be able to produce nearly 140 trailers at its two manufacturing facilities per day, dwarfing the production capabilities of its competitors.

The Revere line features a variety of models:

  • 20/40 ft. city combo (tridem, tandem)
  • 23.5 ft. slider (tandem)
  • 33 ft. slider (tridem)
  • 40 ft. gooseneck (tandem, tridem)
  • 40/45 ft. extendable (tandem, tridem)
  • 43 ft. drop frame (tandem)
  • 53 ft. gooseneck (tandem)

The chassis is available through CIE’s dealer network of 16 companies and more than 60 locations nationwide.
