200 truck Alabama fleet adds specialized flatbed services

AMX Trucking, Inc., a multi-service transportation company, is expanding its fleet with the addition of a new flatbed specialized division. This new division will complement the company's existing fleet services, which include Dry Van, Refrigerated, Drayage, Tanker, and Intermodal.

Ashford, Alabama-based AMX Trucking is adding flatbed specialized division to its fleet services, which include dry van, refrigerated, drayage, tanker, and intermodal.

The additional service comes from organic growth within the company itself rather than via acquisition, said Executive Vice President Nina Eiland, who noted the company experienced high demand for qualified flatbed carriers based on the number of specialized companies it currently serves within its logistics operations.

"When I started in 1988, I could not have imagined that the legacy I dreamed about would still be expanding 36 years later with my two sons, Taylor and Collins," said AMX founder Scott White, who started the company with just two trucks."

The addition of specialty flatbed services to the now 217-truck company "will enhance our ability to meet diverse customer needs with increased flexibility and efficiency," said Collins White, co-owner, president and COO. "This expansion reinforces our commitment to providing top-tier logistics solutions and positions AMX for ongoing growth and success."

The company, which remains family-owned, operates locations in Ashford and Savannah and Jackson, Georgia. The addition of the flatbed division enhances AMX's competitive edge by offering a broader range of professional driving opportunities, including southeast regional, super-regional, and over-the-road positions that cater to diverse lifestyles, added Taylor White, co-owner and CPO.
