Continental updates light truck tires

Continental’s Commercial Vehicle Tire group has updated its HSR (Heavy Steer Regional) and HDR (Heavy Drive Regional) light truck tire lines for both original equipment and replacement. The tires are available in size 225/70R19.5 and are engineered to offer up to 20 percent improvement in rolling resistance and mileage over the original models, due mostly to compounding.

Structural modifications are designed to provide longer-wearing, cooler-running and more fuel-efficient tires, allowing OEMs to meet 2014 greenhouse gas and fuel efficiency targets for rolling resistance and emissions reduction while providing improved ride and handling characteristics.
