Weigh station bypass service Drivewyze will expand its services in North Carolina on Aug. 1, bringing the total bypass locations in the state for the service to 16.

The 13 new sites in the Tar Heel State are located along Interstates 26, 40, 77, 85 and 95. These additional sites bring Drivewyze’s nationwide total to nearly 700 locations.

The Drivewyze PreClear service is available on mobile phones, tablets and some in-cab telematics devices and uses GPS and cell service to operate.

Fleets and drivers considering a Drivewyze subscription can use the company’s free analytics weigh station loss reporting tool to help determine what they could save with the service before activating the subscription, according to Brian Heath, president and CEO of Drivewyze.
