National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is this week, Sept. 8-14. Trucking companies across the country are honoring drivers with various events and more.With National Truck Driver Appreciation Week ongoing this week through Saturday, Sept. 14, trucking companies and other industry organizations are hosting events to recognize the nation’s truck drivers.
NTDAW is a week dedicated to celebrating truck drivers in the U.S. spearheaded by the American Trucking Associations, which is being held Sunday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 14. ATA says the week is coordinated each year to show the country’s 3.5 million truck drivers that carriers, shippers and the rest of the industry appreciate the job they do.
Some fleets that have announced their appreciation events for drivers include:
Roadrunner Transportation Systems (No. 31, CCJ Top 250): Roadrunner is celebrating truckers during NTDAW by recognizing its Driver of the Year Award winners.
Dart (No. 62): Dart is offering its drivers breakfast and/or lunch at its Eagan, Pontoon Beach, Lancaster, South Atlanta, Sellerburg and Vandalia terminals during NTDAW. There will also be giveaways and prizes.
