Please be advised that the risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any event or public space, including the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year. Prior to registering for and attending the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year, please ensure you have read the latest CDC Guidelines for PreventionBy attending the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year, you acknowledge this inherent risk and, as a condition of entering the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year, you acknowledge, understand, and confirm each of the following in accordance with applicable health guidelines:

  • that you will abide by all the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year health-and-safety requirements;
  • that you are not currently experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19, as identified at CDC.gov, including, but not limited to: 
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  • that prior to attending the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year you have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 14-day quarantine; and
  • that you are not under any self-quarantine orders.

Please do not enter the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year at the Playa Largo Resort & Spa if you cannot confirm all of the above criteria. If at any point during your time at the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year you do not meet all of the above criteria, you and those in your group (which may include your sponsoring company) will be required to isolate and may be relocated or asked to leave the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year at Management’s sole discretion.

We understand that health and safety are very top of mind for everybody and would like to give you a quick preview into how we are approaching these matters. These policies and best practices are being updated and adjusted as more information and guidance becomes available.

Prior to the event

  • Remember to review and confirm you can comply with our Health and Safety Acknowledgment. We require strict compliance with all Health and Safety guidelines and our admission terms & conditions. If you feel sick, are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or have had any exposure to COVID-19, please do not come to the venue.

  • Be prepared before you arrive and know that contactless temperature screening will be required on entry
  • Please ensure you have packed a face covering - an approved face covering must be worn at all times.
  • To make sure it is a proper face mask it must fit properly and snuggly, fully covering your nose and mouth and secure under your chin. The following are NOT permitted: face coverings not properly secure, face coverings with exhalation valves, bandanas, neck gaiters, mesh materials, face coverings that contain holes or is significantly damaged, and costume face coverings.
  • Please review this website, including details about our cleaning and sanitization measures, and ensure that you can comply with the requirements/expectations for everyone who attends the 2021 Innovator of the Year in any capacity (sponsors, attendees, staff).

Arriving at the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year

We will be taking additional measures at the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year event with your health and safety top of mind.

  • Be sure to have your face covering on (covering your nose and mouth) before entering the Playa Largo Resort & Spa.
  • Daily contactless temperature screenings will be conducted for everyone.
  • The CCJ Innovator of the Year has a no-handshake policy in place.
  • We'll implement 6-foot distancing in all meeting spaces.

In the meeting space

  • Face coverings must always be worn at all times. Please make sure you have a face mask with you.
  • Follow all recommended Health & Safety measures -- the three W's: Wear your face covering, Wash your hands, and Watch your distance by staying 6 feet away from one another.
  • We'll remind you to keep an appropriate distance from others with signage.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be located for your convenience around the meeting space.
  • Seating areas will be properly distanced.
  • Daily disinfecting will take place to sanitize all seating, public spaces, restrooms, and frequently touched public areas.

 Will there be daily temperature screenings before people enter the Playa Largo Resort & Spa?

Yes, there will be daily contactless temperature screenings for everyone upon entry into the Playa Largo Resort & Spa. Our Health and Safety Acknowledgement and COVID-19 protocols apply to everyone at the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year – sponsors, attendees, and staff.

What happens if my temperature is above the required temperature for entry?

If an individual has a temperature that is 99.5F or above, they will then move to a cool-down area for 10 minutes before retesting. If the second test still registers a temperature of 99.5F or greater, then the individual will be denied entry into the venue.

Will face coverings be required?

Yes, everyone will be required to wear a face covering. A proper face covering at minimum should fit properly and snuggly, fully covering your nose and mouth and secure under your chin. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided for you.

What is the right way to wear my face covering?

According to the CDC, the proper way to wear your face covering is to cover your nose and mouth completely, fitting snuggly against the side of your face, secure it with ties or ear loops and make sure you can allow breathing without restriction. The following face coverings NOT permitted: face coverings that are not properly secure, face coverings with exhalation valves, bandanas, neck gaitors, mesh materials, face coverings that contain holes or is significantly damaged and costume masks.

What if I am unable to wear a face-covering due to a disability?

If you are unable to wear an approved face covering due to a disability, please contact the CCJ Innovator of the Year management team. In appropriate circumstances, management may allow for the use of full-face shields in lieu of an approved face covering. Please note: like masks, face shields must cover the entire nose and mouth, extend below the chin, and fit properly.

Will there be opportunities to sanitize my hands in the meeting space?

Yes, hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the meeting space.

What should I do if I don’t feel well the morning of the event?

If you feel sick, please stay home! Please refer to our Health & Safety Acknowledgment for information about COVID-19 symptoms and our requirements.

What if I don’t feel well when I am at the event?

If you develop COVID-19 symptoms during the show or encounter any concerns regarding suspected COVID-19 exposure, you should report to show personnel. You should limit close contact with others until show personnel are able to further assess and advise you. Show personnel follow local public health authority guidelines in responding to COVID-19 emergencies and are available daily.

Will food and drink still be offered on the meeting space?

Yes, all food will be individually packaged. The Playa Largo catering staff are required to wear gloves, face coverings, disposable aprons and undergo a temperature screening upon entry each day. Tables will follow appropriate physical distancing guidelines (6 feet or more) and we ask that once you start eating or drinking that you remain stationary and remove your face covering only in designated areas.

Does the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year have a “No Handshake” policy in place?

Yes, please do not shake another person’s hand. A wave from 6 feet away is encouraged!

What can I do before I arrive to make the entry process as smooth as possible?

Don’t forget your face covering (can’t hurt to bring an extra) and your ID ready to be checked at registration. Please be prepared for a contactless temperature screening upon entering the Playa Largo Resort & Spa and review our Health and Safety Acknowledgement each day to ensure you can comply prior to arriving at the venue.

If I’m traveling from outside of the United States, is a negative COVID-19 test required?

Starting January 26, 2021, the U.S. government will require all international airline passengers to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test before boarding flights to the U.S. We will continue to update these FAQs as more information about international travel becomes available, however, please monitor the US Department of State website and the CDC website for official guidance.

What can I do personally to help protect myself and others at the 2021 CCJ Innovator of the Year?

In addition to guidance from public health authorities, please take time to read our show admissions policy together with any COVID-19 health and safety materials. Follow the health and safety guidelines, including wearing your face covering properly, washing your hands, maintaining proper distance by staying 6 feet away from one another and following the instructions of our safety and security teams.
