Nexiq compiles Aftertreatment Service Kit

Nexiq Technologies released its new Aftertreatment Service Kit, part of the company’s Next Diesel Tools and Accessories line. The kit is designed to be used during a cleaning routine to remove particulates and soot that impede or obstruct the honeycomb filter within the front face of the diesel oxidation catalyst.

While diesel particulate matter buildup can prevent regeneration of the aftertreatment system, reverse-flow air cleaning the DOC reduces AFT exhaust back-pressure and enables the technician to safely run a parked regen.

The Aftertreatment Service Kit includes a 13-inch aftertreatment adapter, retaining collar, retaining straps and blowgun assembly. Not included in the kit are a source of compressed air, a shop vacuum equipped with a 2.5-foot-diameter hose and a dust bag to capture soot removed from the DOC.
