The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has revoked the 'Registered Devices' status of 10 more ELDs, joining 10 others that the agency has previously revoked

Motor carriers and drivers using the following ELDs have 60 days to replace them with compliant ELDs:

FMCSA said it placed these ELDs on the Revoked Devices list due to the providers’ failure to meet the minimum requirements established in 49 CFR part 395, subpart B, appendix A (functional specifications for ELDs), effective Dec. 1. More information about the specifics of why the devices were revoked was unavailable.

A spokesperson for the PowerTrucks ELD said prior to FMCSA's notice Friday morning, the company had received no communication or indication from the agency that there was a problem with the device, adding that the company has always stayed within the regulatory requirements for ELDs. The company noted its devices are in more than 1,000 trucks.

Overdrive also reached out to the other companies regarding their revoked devices but has yet to receive responses. This story will be updated with any additional information.
