Aperia and Goodyear have announced an exclusive Automatic Tire Inflation agreement with for Goodyear's Tires-as-a-Service Solution.

Aperia Technologies and Goodyear have agreed to integrate Aperia's Halo Connect i3 into Goodyear's global Tires-as-a-Service (TaaS) solution, the companies announced the 2025 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition in Nashville Monday.

Goodyear’s TaaS solution, available in North America and Europe, leverages the automation of Halo Connect i3, an automatic tire inflator that includes integrated tire pressure sensing, remote set point adjustments and customized inflation settings. TaaS combines Goodyear’s tires, continuous monitoring, predictive insights, and service footprint into one, subscription designed to help fleets save time and improve total cost of ownership through outsourced tire management.

The deal covers all s fleet's commercial assets, noted Ralph Dimenna, chief commercial officer at Aperia Technologies, adding its two-way communication technology "really brings out the close the loop capability of our product."

Smart Sensors are fully integrated into the Halo Inflator and are protected by automotive-grade materials that withstand all weather conditions.

With 95% of their tires properly inflated, Michelle Ross, director of Goodyear's TaaS, said several of Goodyear’s long-haul customers are seeing real results, with an average of 3% fuel savings and over 50% breakdown reduction, keeping their fleets rolling efficiently and reliably.

Tire management programs are optimized with alerts powered by Aperia’s analytics engine and two-way communication technology keeps fleets consistently ahead of the curve. Capabilities like remote set point adjustment eliminate surprises. The self-powered, simplified inflator is easy to install and does not need to be removed for wheel or tire service. Compatibility with hubodometers and FlowBelow wheel covers is standard.

Michelle Ross, director of Goodyear's TaaS, said the TaaS program has helped reduce total cost of ownership, contributing to a nearly 80% reduction in emergency vehicle breakdown events and a 100% reduction in customer-owned inventory for a last-mile delivery fleet operating in the U.S.

The pay-per-mileage subscription includes Goodyear tires equipped with tire intelligence technology to generate proactive insights; continuous, 24/7 tire monitoring and data collection from every tire; and proactive alert management and service coordination. Access to Goodyear’s service network to dispatch technicians whenever needed.

"[Goodyear is] moving, as much as possible, from being reactive to proactive, and taking the tire management program off the fleet's hands," Ross said, adding TaaS likely improves the quality of tire casings and retreads as well. Retreaded tires as also covered under the TaaS.
