00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts features two tech integrations and a newly re-launched website that aims to help fleets save on fuel costs.

00:21 Fleet fuel management consulting company Sokolis has relaunched its website, sokolis.com, featuring its new Fuel Management 360 program and Fuel for Thought video series that aim to help fleets across industries to efficiently manage fueling costs and logistics.

Sokolis Fuel Management 360 consultants analyze an organization’s fleet fuel use and specific needs, then design a customized program that can include fuel cards, mobile fueling and/or bulk fueling. This program also includes managing vendors and RFPs, auditing invoices, validating prices and providing detailed, actionable reports to gauge the success of the plan.

The new Fuel for Thought video series provides ideas and insights from Sokolis experts on how to navigate the complexities of fuel management and maximize savings. Visitors to the site can also explore case studies and blog posts with tips on how to uncover the lowest fleet fuel prices, discover the most efficient fueling options and receive ongoing data needed to improve operations.

01:27 Video telematics company Lytx has launched an integration with Fleetio, a web- and mobile-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company, designed to help fleets automate their operations and keep their vehicles and equipment running smoothly.

This integration links Lytx’s video safety and video telematics technology with Fleetio’s advanced vehicle health lifecycle and maintenance program.

Key benefits include

• Increased and earlier visibility of problems by immediately being able to view Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in Fleetio

• Reduced downtime by automatically tracking vehicle mileage and asset utilization with daily odometer readings that trigger service notifications at specified intervals

• Greater efficiency and fewer manual processes with customizable triggers, thresholds, escalation paths and maintenance workflows

• And actionable data when odometer readings and DTCs are transformed into utilization insights and maintenance trends.

Designed to help fleets better control maintenance costs and understand utilization, this integration helps fleet managers quickly see and fix problems when they happen and anticipate upcoming maintenance needs so vehicles run longer and more efficiently, allowing managers to focus on other operational priorities.

02:40 Geotab and Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) are partnering to simplify fleet management.

This integration aims to solve the previously complex issue of collecting and transforming data from multiple sources into actionable insights by providing direct truck data from Freightliner trucks on Geotab's advanced fleet management platform, MyGeotab.

This integration helps to simplify mixed-fleet management, making all data from various OEMs and Geotab's GO devices available in one unified platform.

Customers will be able to tailor their experience to meet their unique needs via Geotab's Marketplace of hardware and software solutions. This integrated solution is activated remotely, requires no additional hardware, facilitates access to enterprise-grade vehicle data and empowers companies to make decisions that can enhance safety, improve overall operations and boost sustainability.
